Lucasfilm Studio President Confirms INDIANA JONES 5 Will Happen

This is the most non-story story of the day. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed to Vanity Fair that INDIANA JONES 5 will eventually happen.

"Kennedy confirmed rumors that another Indy movie 'will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.'"

This is a no-brainer and its nice to hear the studio president finally/actually confirm it.

Although, this isn't the first time The Daily SuperHero has heard INDIANA JONES 5 would happen. A scoop was published back in October 2013 and here's the quick timeline breakdown for The Daily SuperHero's scoop.

The Daily SuperHero was the first to report that Disney was seriously considering INDIANA JONES 5 behind closed doors. That scoop began to be corroborated when Disney acquired the distribution rights for Indiana Jones movies from Paramount two months later in December 2013. In the same month, a Disney executive implied INDIANA JONES 5 was on the horizon once they find a story for it. Another report corroborated my initial scoop in February 2014, followed by another report a year later (in February 2015) from Deadline who reported Steven Spielberg wanted to be a part of it and he was targeting actor Chris Pratt as the new Indy.

In other words this official confirmation from the Lucasfilm studio head means The Daily SuperHero's original scoop is confirmed. Whether or not Harrison Ford will be a part of INDIANA JONES 5 or if Pratt will be his replacement remains to be seen as of the publishing of this post.
