New INDIANA JONES is Beginning to be Developed; Steven Spielberg Wants to Direct it With Chris Pratt in Leading Role

Deadline has posted a report stating Steven Spielberg is beginning to develop a new Indiana Jones movie and he wants to direct it too. But that's not it because the report also claims he would like Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic Park, The LEGO Movie star and "It-man in Hollywood" Chris Pratt to be the lead in what could be more of an Indiana Jones prequel or reboot than a true sequel in the franchise.

Pratt is not the first actor who has been rumored to be attached to an Indiana Jones movie and replacing Harrison Ford in the leading role. In March 2014, Bradley Cooper was said to be one of the names being talked about behind closed doors at Disney and Lucasfilm. But now, enter Pratt into the conversation.

"Word from Spielberg’s camp is that it’s too early to determine what will happen because there is no script yet and they are just getting going. It makes a lot of sense though, as Guardians Of The Galaxy star Pratt was Spielberg’s hand-picked choice to be the star of Jurassic World, the first new film in that series in 14 years, which Universal releases June 12."

The key parts the above report are that there is no script yet and they are just now getting started in the development of a potential Indiana Jones movie. This seems to be the starting point of more Indiana Jones news to come. Will Pratt actually land one of the most popular leading roles in cinema history? Stay tuned.
