This is just an amazing story of an Indiana Jones fan who was commissioned by Lucasfilm to produce an art print (above) of an animated take on Indiana Jones to sell back around the time INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL was set to release in theaters. This artist, Patrick Schoenmaker, became obsessed with the animated Indy concept and has spent the last few years working on what he calls "a proof of concept" Indy animated film which will finally be released later this month on September 29.
Here's hoping that Disney and Lucasfilm don't get pissy about this project and prevent him from putting this film online, or pull it down from the web after it's up, because looks absolutely fantastic.
