Variety ran a story stating how actor Ewan McGregor is in talks to play the villain the Black Mask in the Harley Quinn-led movie BIRDS OF PREY. Variety writes:
"Huntress, Black Canary, and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will battle Black Mask, a kingpin in Gotham City’s criminal underworld who has a fixation with masks. Rosie Perez is set to play Gotham City police detective Renee Montoya."
In the DC Comics universe, the Black Mask is a part of Batman's rogue's gallery who is a criminal mastermind who is a skilled marksman, hand-to-hand combat ace, and can control the minds of others via his mask. To read more about the Black Mask, click here.

BIRDS OF PREY — which is also rumored to have a title change at some point — begins filming in early 2019 and has a release date set for February 7, 2020.
