Fox Moves Around Their 2018 Marvel Movie Release Dates

Right now 20th Century Fox is currently filming WOLVERINE 3 and they have DEADPOOL 2, NEW MUTANTS, X-FORCE and GAMBIT at some stage of story and/or early production development. Outside of WOLVERINE 3, there are no other release dates set for any of these in-development film projects.

Fox does have three release dates set for unknown Marvel movies and, according to Deadline, two of these untitled Marvel movie release dates have shifted.

Fox had a Marvel movie release date set for October 6, 2017 and this date remains unchanged. But their perviously set date on January 12, 2018 has been pushed back to March 2, 2018 and their other date set for July 13, 2018 has been moved up to June 29, 2018.

Fox's Marvel release schedule currently looks like this:

  • WOLVERINE 3 - March 3, 2017
  • Unknown Marvel Movie - October 6, 2017
  • Unknown Marvel Movie - March 2, 2018
  • Unknown Marvel Movie - June 29, 2018

Of these two release shifts, the June 29, 2018 date is the only one that needs to be questioned. Whatever this movie is going to be now hits theaters just one week before Marvel Studios' ANT-MAN AND THE WASP. That might not be a good release date because no matter what Fox Marvel movie this might is at least a two week buffer is needed either before or after any Marvel Studios film. Although fans might not care because they will get two different Marvel movie releases in consecutive weeks.
