AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR PART 1 Will Give Thanos Plenty of Screen Time

Every Marvel Cinematic Universe fan has been impatiently waiting for more Thanos. Ever since his tease in the post-credits scene after THE AVENGERS, fans have only seen him in a minor role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. And to get his own hands dirty in the post-credits scene after AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.

The purple villain, who actor Josh Brolin motion-captures and voices, is also known as the Mad Titan and he is coming in 2018, but not sooner, as he won't be making an appearance in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2. According to co-writer Christopher Markus' quote with ScreenCrush, Thanos will get a lot of attention and screen time in AVENGERS: INFINITY WARS PART 1.

"Everyone knows he’s coming, and yet [Thanos] hasn’t had... many scenes that have illuminated very much about him. You can count on a lot of scenes where we illuminate a lot about him very early [in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1]."

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR PART 1 starts filming at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta toward the end of 2016 and releases on May 4, 2018. PART 2 is out on May 3, 2019.
