No HULK Solo Movie on the Horizon But He Has a 3-Part Story Arc in THOR: RAGNAROK and AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Movies

It's a topic that's been beaten to death online about why Marvel Studios can't make a sequel to INCREDIBLE HULK. In a nutshell, Universal Studios still has some rights to Hulk solo films and Marvel wants those remaining rights to make a sequel themselves. Moving on.

Even though no solo movie is coming this hasn't stopped Marvel Studios from building a 3-part story arc for Bruce Banner and the Hulk in three upcoming movies: THOR: RAGNAROK, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, Part I and Part II.

Actor Mark Ruffalo revealed all of this to Yahoo! Movies in a recent interview.

"[Marvel and I have] worked a really interesting arc into Thor 3, Avengers 3 and 4 for Banner that I think will – when it’s all added up – will feel like a Hulk movie, a standalone movie."

Ruffalo also revealed the script is still a work-in-progress right now — so don't believe any rumors because the script is constantly changing — but meetings are taking place and preparation for filming this summer in Australia has begun.

"[Director] Taika Waititi’s coming in and I love him. That’s a surprise and it fits part of this Marvel doing the unexpected, casting the unexpected, and now bringing in the unexpected for writer and director. I’m really interested in where that’s going. They’re writing the script now. I am thinking about it, I’m doing script meetings and stuff so we’re starting to prep it."

THOR: RAGNAROK releases on November 3, 2017.
