DOCTOR STRANGE Casting Rumor Has Rachel McAdams is Being Targeted For a Role

Chalk this up as rumor right now because it is being reported as such by the original source report (via HH). Apparently, Marvel Studios is has their sights set on actor Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Holmes) for an undisclosed role in DOCTOR STRANGE.

Right now, the timing of this does make sense seeing as how director Scott Derrickson is now in the U.K. finalizing development and pre-production so DOCTOR STRANGE can start filming this November. But that is also over three months away and things can and do change right before filming begins for any movie.

Logic states that McAdams could be Doctor Strange's love interest, Clea, from the comics who he does marry. Although this is speculation since the report is nothing more than rumor right now. If true, McAdams would join a cast that already has Benedict Cumberbatch confirmed for the lead role, Tilda Swinton rumored to be The Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor rumored to be playing the villain Baron Mordo.

DOCTOR STRANGE releases on November 4, 2016.
