Hugh Jackman Goes on TV to Officially Confirm WOLVERINE 3 Will be His Last Movie as Logan

In March, Hugh Jackman posted a cryptic image to social media implying WOLVERINE 3 would be his final turn as Wolverine. This came after Jackman said how he wanted to play Wolverine as long as he possibly could, the month prior.  Sadly, today on Dr. Oz, Jackman officially confirmed the end of his Wolverine run.

"This will be my last one... It is my last time and I just felt, it felt like it was the right time to do it. And, and let's be honest, 17 years, I never thought in a million years it would last this long. So I'm so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it and I love it and I kind of have in my mind what we're gonna do in this last one and it just feels like it's the perfect way to go out."

So there you have it. Straight from the mouth of Wolverine himself. (This reveal also seems to imply that Jackman may not be appearing in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.) This is all very sad but as time goes on more and more iconic super hero characters like Wolverine will be recast.

What kind of movie WOLVERINE 3 will be remains to be seen but many fans speculate it could be a loose adaptation of the comic book story arc for Old Man Logan. If this is its basisc, then it would be a fitting end to Jackman's fantastic run with the role.

WOLVERINE 3 (still untitled) releases on March 3, 2017.

Here's video I recorded off my TV of Jackman confirming it.
