Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman in THE WOLVERINE Sequel? Yes Please!

Next up in the X-Men pipeline is X-Men: Apocalypse, which starts filming this spring in Montreal, but shortly after the next X-Men ensemble film wraps production 20th Century Fox will begin pre-production for the The Wolverine Sequel. Director James Mangold is back after directing The Wolverine and Fox already has a release date set for the next Wolverine film on March 3, 2017.

A new piece of information has bubbled to the surface and this is from actor Sir Patrick Stewart who says there's been talks of including him as Professor X in The Wolverine Sequel.

“What I’m very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together,” Stewart said to Oregon Live. “Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of ‘X-Men’ from the four movies that I’ve already done.”

The next Wolverine movie is still in early development so anything can change when it comes its story and what other characters could appear. But this team-up sounds like a winning combination already.
