Benedict Cumberbatch Smirks and Looks Right at the Camera When Asked About DOCTOR STRANGE

It's been just over a week since Marvel Studios officially announced that Doctor Strange was coming in 2016 and it's been nearly that long since Deadline broke the news that Marvel and Benedict Cumberbatch were in negotiations for the leading role.

A week or so before that, IGN spoke to Cumberbatch about the potential of being Doctor Strange and the actor not only admitted to knowing a little something-something about the character but he couldn't help but to smirk before trying to conceal it by taking a sip of water. However, he started looking right into the camera while taking his sip and his overall body language somewhat implies that he was either in negotiations for the role or about to start them for Doctor Strange.

Check out the video interview for yourself at about the 1:07 mark and see a few screenshots from it as well.

While a lot can be assumed about Cumberbatch's response to being asked about Doctor Strange. This definitely falls into a similar realm of reveal that recent actors have had with their poor poker faces (see Paul Rudd and Chadwick Boseman). Cumberbatch has not been officially announced as Doctor Strange, by Marvel, but it seems like it's a matter of when he will be announced once he signs on the dotted line with the studio.

Doctor Strange releases in theaters on November 4, 2016.
