GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Team Members 'Are Basically All Villains to Begin With'

Back in the fall, female actor Zoe Saldana said Guardians of the Galaxy is an "anti-hero hero" movie. Now lead actor Chris Pratt has confirmed that this is exactly what Marvel Studios' next film will be.

In an interview in the latest issue of Empire Magazine, the Star-Lord actor talks about the path the team members of Guardians of the Galaxy are on during next summer's film.

"Our characters are basically all villains to begin with. They don't believe they're individually good and they don't believe each other is good, and through the course of the movie they discover they're heroes. If The Avengers are The Beatles, these guys are The Rolling Stones."

This also corroborates a comment made by Saldana, a month or so ago, regarding her character Gamora being a villain at the start of the film. She has said she works with fellow movie villains Ronan The Accuser and Nebula in Act I of the movie. While they are all working for Thanos, something happens to Gamora and she has a change of heart and becomes a member of the team.

Guardians of the Galaxy releases in theaters on August 1, 2014.
