GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: Bradley Cooper's Voice For ROCKET RACCOON and del Toro as THE COLLECTOR

On August 1, 2014 Marvel Studios releases what might be the weirdest, strangest and potentially the coolest blockbuster feature film to hit theaters in a very long time with Guardians of the Galaxy. Starring a group of misfit heroes, it has been called an "anti-hero hero" movie by one of its own actors along with being called a redemption story.

We know the team will consist of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket Raccoon who will face off against Thanos' minions including his general Ronan and female assassin Nebula. Also in the film will be Taneleer Tivan who is also known as The Collector and is—in the comic universe—an immortal being who is very powerful and collects artifacts from around the universe.

What we don't really know about is actor Bradley Cooper's portrayal of the furry, gun-totting Rocket Raccoon. The little hero loves bug guns has been called "the heart of the film" by both director James Gunn and studio president Kevin Feige.

Now, Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt has discussed what director Gunn and Cooper are working on with Rocket's voice, in an interview he gave with IGN.

"From what I hear from James Gunn—and I really trust the director —he had a reason for choosing Bradley. And he's saying now the voice that [he and Bradley] have been working on and created is really awesome. So it's not just gonna be Bradley Cooper, but it's gonna Bradley doing this voice of Rocket, who is like the best character in the movie. So, I'm really excited and I can't wait to meet him because I'm a huge fan."

Pratt also talked about sharing screen time with Benicio del Toro's Tivan and how amazing of a performer del Toro is.

"...I got to work with Benicio Del Toro on Guardians of the Galaxy and it was awesome. He is truly an artist, and captivating to watch. I learned so much watching him. He's like the king of behavior. He's the kind of guy that is doing something physically that isn't on the page, it's just something that he brought. I inspire to be able to do something like that."
