Opinion: Is DOCTOR STRANGE in AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.? Most Definitely Not

The Marvel Studios rumor mill and speculation machine seems to never stop. After watching the extended trailer of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it only added fuel to the fires of the rumor machine.

Theories about Agent Coulson's "death" in The Avengers. Is Luke Cage or Rage a part of the show? Was that Doctor Strange in the trailer?

Whoa... wait up a second. Doctor Strange? Yeah, you heard that right as some are saying the above photo is the good doctor himself.

Fan theorists will always have their say, I mean I do it too and it's fun to speculate, but it's doubtful Doctor Stephen Strange is going to be revealed for the first time in Marvel's cinematic universe on television. Looking to the only fact there is regarding the good doctor, we have to believe that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is being true to his hints that Strange is being saved for his own solo movie after Ant-Man and in Phase 3.

Even though the word "strange" is said more than once in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. trailer, it sounds to be a coincidence.

Quick sidebar: Can I write it as SHIELD from now on? Adding the periods over and over again is tiresome. No? Fine. (There's nothing wrong with writing out your own inner monologue Deadpool-style, by the way.)

All attempts at humor aside, it is my opinion that this is simply an image of someone who may resemble the doctor but is not. Maybe Marvel planted that to fuel the rumors more. If so, maybe we should give Marvel more credit for stirring their own pot more than us theorists doing it online.
