Michael Rooker in Talks to Play King Shark in THE SUICIDE SQUAD

Writer and director James Gunn will continue his working relationship with his friend Michael Rooker (Yondu in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) as TheWrap is reporting Rooker is in talks to play the role of King Shark in Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD. Rooker will join Margot Robbie, reprising her role as Harley Quinn, Idris Elba, in an undisclosed role, and David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man.

THE SUICIDE SQUAD is a soft reboot of the franchise after the first film grossed nearly $750 million worldwide, but was widely panned by critics and many DC fans.

THE SUICIDE SQUAD will reportedly begin filming later this year and releases on August 5, 2021.
