VENOM Tops a Half Billion in the Worldwide Box Office

VENOM has made more in the worldwide box office than SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.

I repeat...

... VENOM has made more in the worldwide box office than SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.

Going into this calendar year, if you had told me that VENOM would make more than the Han Solo Star Wars movie I would have laughed in your face and never let up on that laughter. Well, it seems the last laugh would have been directed at me as VENOM has in fact made more.

VENOM has broke through the half billion barrier and has brought in over $508 million worldwide. And to prove my point here, SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY only took in $392 million worldwide.

Let that sink in for a moment and you'll better understand why Disney and Lucasfilm are putting a halt (for now) on all 'A Star Wars Story' standalone film productions to focus solely on the release of STAR WARS EPISODE IX in December 2019.

Surely VENOM 2 will happen as the end credits scene has set up a potential sequel.
