No Love For DEADPOOL While ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY, DOCTOR STRANGE and SUICIDE SQUAD Get Oscar Nominations

Sorry DEADPOOL. With lots of recent online talk about how it might get a Best Picture Oscar nomination —and possibly be this year's version of MAD MAX: FURY ROAD — the Academy did not show any love for DEADPOOL.

Yet, the Academy did some love for a few of the movies we love to cover here at DailySuperHero.com in the usual categories:

ROGUE ONE received two nominations: one for Best Visual Effects and one of Best Sound Mixing.

DOCTOR STRANGE received one nomination for Best Visual Effects.

And SUICIDE SQUAD received one nomination for Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

The Oscars will be presented on February 26 with Jimmy Kimmel hosing the event.
