Some good and bad news for Marvel fans.
Bad new first.
The Hollywood Reporter has news that Marvel TV's Freeform (formerly ABC Family) series CLOAK AND DAGGER has been delayed until Winter 2018.
Now the good news.
THR also reports that writer Joe Pokaski, he was a writer on Marvel's DAREDEVIL, will bring his experience with the Netflix series to the Freeform show.
CLOAK AND DAGGER was officially green lit straight to series this past April by Freeform, which is a Disney-owned entity, which is rare in TV since new shows usually get a pilot episode first, then based on that episode go on to either get canceled or a season order by the network. CLOAK AND DAGGER got a series order right off the bat without a pilot.
Here's the current synopsis for the show:
"'Marvel's Cloak & Dagger' follows Tandy Bowen and Tyronne Johnson, two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened by and awakened to newly acquired super powers while falling in love. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn that they are better together than apart — but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging."
