It's been rumored for months that Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie could have the title of THE BATMAN and he confirmed this to the AP in a recent interview.
“The movie I think is going to be called ‘The Batman.’ At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it… That’s about all I got right now. We’re working on the script, the script is going well, I’m really excited about it.”
Affleck will produce, co-write (with DC CCO Geoff Johns), direct and star in THE BATMAN along with actor Joe Manganiello as the movie's main villain Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke. A release date has not been set for THE BATMAN but it's trending to possibly have its release date in 2019.
