Joe Manganiello Confirmed as DEATHSTROKE in Ben Affleck's Solo BATMAN Movie

Last week Ben Affleck teased super hero movie fans with a quick glimpse of Deathstroke inside of the JUSTICE LEAGUE 'Flying Fox' transport, with the Batmobile seen in the background. Initially, it was thought Deathstroke would be in JUSTICE LEAGUE, and he still might make a cameo, but it was also reported he will be the main villain in a solo BATMAN movie.

This is all being corroborated over at The Wall Street Journal as they are also confirming, via DC Films co-head and DC CCO Geoff Johns, that Deathstroke will in fact played by actor Joe Manganiello.

Manganiello has long been trying to land himself a more prominent super hero movie role ever since he was Flash Thompson in 2002's SPIDER-MAN and he has campaigned on social media for several roles over the past few years. Now, he has landed the role of Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke and will reportedly go toe-to-toe with Affleck's Batman.

The solo BATMAN movie is currently in development by Affleck and Johns with Affleck also set to direct it.
