SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY did it!!!!!

Deadline reports on the official weekend box office numbers:

"It happened: Sony/Marvel Studio’s Spider-Man Brand New Day is now the biggest opening ever at the North American box office with a 3-day of $360M, taking down Disney/Marvel Studio’s previous domestic debut record with 2019’s Avengers: Endgame which opened to $357.1M.

"The revised global opening is now $932M, which still stands as the second best worldwide opening at the box office behind Avengers: Endgame‘s $1.22 billion."

Absolutely amazing (pun intended) achievement that nobody saw coming heading into its opening weekend. Many knew it would open big, but not with the biggest domestic opening of all-time. Congrats to all involved in the production.
