Not only did The CW save SUPERGIRL from being canceled over on CBS, but they are officially introducing the Superman in Season 2.
“Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”
In Season 1, Superman has had somewhat of a presence via online communication with his cousin. Now, he will be fully realized in The CW superhero universe which also includes their other shows ARROW, THE FLASH and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW.
Note: This version of Superman has nothing to do with the movie version actor Henry Cavill plays in DC Films' DC Extended Universe.
