BLACK PANTHER: Michael B. Jordan Confirms He's the Next Human Torch Actor Swapping Fox For Marvel Studios

No matter how much Fox's creatives keep talking about wanting to continue the FANTASTIC FOUR franchise with the same cast from last summer's failed reboot attempt, it's probably not going to happen with all the members of its main cast. Especially when you consider the fact that Johnny Storm / Human Torch actor Michael B. Jordan is the next person to jump ship from Fox's Marvel franchise to a Marvel Studios franchise. Jordan joins Chris Evans who was also Johnny Storm / Human Torch before taking on the career-changing role as Steve Rogers / Captain America.

While Jordan will not be a leading hero in BLACK PANTHER — he's rumored to be the main villain — this role will could impact his decision to return to any future FANTASTIC FOUR franchise movie while the movie rights are with Fox.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Jordan not only confirmed he will be in BLACK PANTHER, in an undisclosed role, but he straight-up said how he can't wait to work with director Ryan Coogler again and on their third movie together. He also hints that Lupita Nyong'o will be in the film as well since he also stated that he cannot wait to share the screen with her as well as lead actor Chadwick Boseman.

Nyong'o has previously been reported to be in talks for a role in BLACK PANTHER but nothing has been heard since that report. Jordan's comment makes it sound like she has indeed signed on to be in the film.

BLACK PANTHER begins filming in early 2017 and releases on February 16, 2018.
