Of Course Sebastian Stan Thinks WINTER SOLDIER Should Show Up in BLACK PANTHER

If you haven't already seen CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, shame on you. The spoiler alert warning no longer applies since it's been out for over a month now.

In the post-credits scene of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, you see Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes in Wakanda with T'Challa. Bucky wants to go under cryo-sleep again since there's still some Winter Soldier programming left in his brain with Wakanda scientists trying to remove the rest of it. Steve tells T'Challa if anyone finds out he secretly has the Winter Soldier, many will come after him. In a very confident way, T'Challa challenges those who would threaten Wakanda by the use of any force.

The implication was more than obvious that actor Sebastian Stan could return in the solo BLACK PANTHER movie. At Wizard World Philly last weekend, via SlashFilm, Stan (of course) thinks he could show up in BLACK PANTHER.

"I don’t know, man. I mean, there’s obviously a very clear answer, but I’m not going to maybe say it, now. Where did he end up at the end of the movie? That’s the movie he should be in, I think. I feel like that would be the natural… but I don’t know. I don’t know anything."

Having Bucky return in BLACK PANTHER makes perfect sense because not only are scientists working to remove his Hydra assassin programming but he needs a new bionic arm. It also makes sense to have Chris Evans show up in the movie, too, since he needs a new shield and Wakanda is the source of vibranium in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Earth.

At this point, it might be more of a letdown if Bucky and/or Steve don't make at least a cameo in T'Challa's own movie.

BLACK PANTHER begins filming in early 2017 and releases on February 16, 2018.
