AQUAMAN Rumors: Script Rewrites, Willem Dafoe's Role and How They'll Shoot Underwater Via Green Screen

A slew of rumors have emerged from the website BirthMoviesDeath. So cue the grain of salt comment right off the bat.

First, let's start off with the role that actor Willem Dafoe is rumored to have in JUSTICE LEAGUE. Dafoe is said to be an Atlantean but no further rumor information was provided outside of the fact it has been previously reported he will play a good guy in JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Continuing on the JUSTICE LEAGUE rumor tip, the following is being said regarding how they will shoot underwater scenes without actually being underwater.

"...[R]ather than shoot in a water tank this time Zack Snyder has set up an elaborate rig on a green screen stage - it's a two armed rig, with Momoa clutched in one arm while the camera is clutched in the other. They two arms are preprogrammed to move in sync so that Momoa can do all kinds of maneuvers while the camera moves around him... assuming there's a similar rig for more elaborate flying stuff. Momoa's hair will be CGIed into a flowy, underwater look."

Finally, this last rumor is about the AQUAMAN movie. While director James Wan posted a photo to social media showing his commitment to the gig — despite a rumor claiming he has trepidation about it — it's being alleged the AQUAMAN script has gone back for rewrites. As in Page 1 rewrites. However, all big blockbuster movies get rewrites. So much so that scripts are changed even during the filming of a movie.

Since AQUAMAN doesn't release until summer 2018, there is really nothing to worry about right now because it doesn't need to start filming until the calendar says 2017 at the top of it.
