Rumors Surrounding THOR: RAGNAROK Villain Casting and Plot

This rumor post may contain SPOILERS for THOR: RAGNAROK. You've been warned.

A batch of new rumors are making the rounds online, from the website Geek, for THOR: RAGNAROK. While these are unconfirmed, they are still interesting and worth sharing for the sake of creating some intrigue and debate.

The site claims that actor Cate Blanchett has been cast as the villain Hela, Ruler of Hel, and she will team up with Loki.

“[Her appearance will be] complete with her cloak and power over the dead souls of the Nine Realms. Hela will make it to Asgard, where she’ll be in cahoots with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, current motives unknown.”

The site, then, goes on to tease what could be a plot rumor in the story.

“Hela and Loki will have set their plan well in motion by the time Thor gets wise to what’s going on. Hela ends up creating the incident to Thor’s journey in the film. According to our sources, when Thor confronts Hela, things do not go well.”

Finally, and here's a BIG IF when it comes to this set of rumors, Thor will be banished (again) from Asgard and lose his hammer.

“Not only does [Hela] banish Thor from Asgard, but she destroys Mjolnir.”

This is a lot to take in, but please remember none of it is confirmed as THOR: RAGNAROK is still in development and preparing for pre-production for filming in Australia this summer. What is in the script now can and will change as production begins and principle photography starts. Also, when it comes to scoops and rumors, The Daily SuperHero is not familiar with the website's track record and accuracy, so discuss the possibilities of these being true but don't take any of it as fact, as of the writing of this post.

THOR: RAGNAROK releases on November 3, 2017.
