DEADPOOL: Ryan Reynolds is in Final Talks to Reprise Role

It has been reported how passionate actor Ryan Reynolds is for the character of Deadpool. He may not have portrayed the character in a way that most fans liked, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but he nailed the part of Wade Wilson prior to the terrible transition into Deadpool in that film.

Fans should already know that a solo Deadpool movie has been in development purgatory for years without getting a green light from 20th Century Fox. Fans should also know the film was green lit shortly after test footage was leaked right after the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con International ended.

Now, according to Deadline, Reynolds is in final talks to reprise the role of Deadpool in the new movie. He was the guy in the test footage and preformed all the motion capture work himself. Reynolds will be able to fulfill his passion of being a true version of the character.

Not much is known about the Deadpool movie except that a very early version of the script was leaked online a few years back, but The Daily SuperHero has reported that that script will undergo some major rewrites before the film goes into production in March 2015. With Fox expanding their X-Men universe (which Deadpool will be a part of), it will be interesting to see how Deadpool fits into their growing movie universe.

Deadpool releases in theaters on February 12, 2016.
