Exclusive! Leaked DEADPOOL Script From Several Years Ago is Getting a Major Makeover Now That it's Greenlit

Several years ago the original script for Tim Miller's Deadpool movie, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, was somehow leaked online. Fox tried to pull it down but as in most cases when something gets leaked online it is tough to remove all of its copies. The leaked script has since been read by many fans who got their hands on it and has served as the basis of a Deadpool movie, along with the test footage which was also leaked, trying to get the green light by the studio.

Now that Deadpool is officially greenlit, the leaked script is undergoing major change and rewrites.

According to several insider sources, The Daily SuperHero can confidently confirm and report that the script for Deadpool is currently changing from what many fans have read in the leaked version. How much of the script is changing remains a mystery but my one insider has implied to me that only a same portion of the previously leaked script may stay intact... for now.

In today's filmmaking process, scripts will get rewrites up to and through production; and even rewritten while filming a movie. Because of this fact, what is being told to me today could change even more in the coming months before Deadpool start filming — which should start filming sometime in the first half of 2015.

To many fans, this is not shocking news and will probably be considered obvious news but I'm just the messenger. And of course, Fox and the Deadpool movie filmmakers have not commented on this new information so take it as you will. However, writer Reese has said that it is still not certain whether Deadpool will be rated-R or PG-13, which is a hint that the script is definitely being worked on right now.

Deadpool releases in theaters on February 12, 2016.
