WONDER WOMAN Gets Television Producer and Director Michelle MacLaren to Direct

Over the past few months rumors flew around the Internet that Warner Bros. would like a woman to direct and helm Wonder Woman and those rumors have now become truth.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michelle MacLaren will develop Wonder Woman with its current writers along with direct the feature film. The writers remain unnamed right now for unknown reasons.

Also a part of the the Wonder Woman production will be Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman and Justice League director Zack Snyder serving as producer. Charles Rovan and Deborah Snyder will also be producers.

MacLaren is no stranger to big budget productions which are surrounded with a ton of pressure to producer a high quality item because she has been a producer for 29 episodes of Breaking Bad and 46 episodes of The X-Files. But then has also directed four episodes of Game of Thrones and 11 episodes of Breaking Bad. Wonder Woman is just the next high-pressure project on MacLaren's already impressive resume.

Wonder Woman will star actor Gal Gadot, who is being introduced in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and is set to release sometime in 2017. (Actual release date has yet to be officially confirmed by Warner Bros.)
