While fans are drooling over their first chance to see Ben Affleck in full Batman cape and cowl on the set of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, all-things Wonder Woman have gone under-the-radar. Producer Charles Rovan recently spoke, via The Hollywood Reporter, about Batman v. Superman and while most attention was given to his quotes about Affleck's Batman a little tidbit was said about Wonder Woman.
"She’s a demigod. Her father was Zeus."
This goes along with Wonder Woman's current origin tale in DC Entertainment's New 52 story arc. Wonder Woman's mother 'hooked up' with Zeus and thus Wonder Woman was conceived. A more realistic take, albeit fueled with some Greek Mythology, than her older origin story where she was molded out of clay by the Queen of the Amazons and became Wonder Woman.
Batman v. Superman releases in theaters on March 26, 2016.
