Exclusive: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Legends Variant Figures Will be "Very, Very Rare and Hard to Find"

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Legends 6-inch action figure movie line packaging and variants images have been revealed by Hasbro. The toy manufacturer has adapted a similar packaging style from it's Star Wars Black Series 6-inch action figure line. Very sleek! Also, the "build-a-figure" concept is being adapted from Hasbro's Marvel Legends toy line and fans/collectors will be able to build a giant-sized Ultimate Green Goblin.

According to The Daily SuperHero's Hasbro source—who has been dead-on with information about past Marvel movie toy lines for Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World—the variant figures "will not be an easy find and very, very rare and hard to find." You might be thinking that's nothing new since variant figures are supposed to be a hard find but there was a noticeable emphasis on the rarity of them.

This is great for figure value but very bad for collectors looking to find all the figures for their personal collections. The variants (also known as chase or swap) figures can be seen in the comparison images below. Completest Spidey fans finally get a few new figures for their collections like Superior Spider-Man, Black Cat and Toxin, to name a few. With a scheduled release sometime in February/March, per my Hasbro source, the pricing for these will be in the $14.99-$19.99 range depending on which retailer location you buy them at.

Finally the source said full clarification of this movie toy line by Hasbro will be made available at Toy Fair 2014 in February, at the latest.

Happy toy hunting for these next year!
