Marvel, Vin Diesel Conspiracy Theory: The Actor Talks and Still Confirms NOTHING About Groot

Will Actor Vin Diesel say "I am Groot" in next year's Guardians of the Galaxy or not? The actor has not confirmed anything and Marvel Studios executives are tip-lipped about this as well.

Sadly, even The Hollywood Reporter couldn't get the actor to confirm that he is really Groot in a new interview. Diesel is asked about Groot but he starts talking about Marvel.

"What can I say about Groot... I can say something about Marvel. I take my hat off to them for being so creative and thinking outside of the box."

He then talks about how he was in discussions with Marvel execs to play a new character slated for a 2016 or 2017 theatrical release.

"It would come out in 2016 or 2017 and potentially launch the third phase."

But Diesel's schedule is pretty full since he stars in both the Fast & Furious and Riddick franchises.

"With my schedule, it was almost impossible to imagine I could do anything immediate [with Marvel]."

However, the actor states how his voice and his motion capture work would allow for him to portray a character in Marvel's movie universe.

"I guess after they watched Iron Giant, or whatever, they came up with this idea of taking the strangest Marvel character—or the strangest Marvel character that's ever hit film—and thought what I could do with that with motion capture and with my voice."

Finally, Diesel implies nothing is happening right now because his reps are working things out with Marvel still.

"Now it's just up to my reps to allow that to happen."

Again, there is no verbal confirmation and since he spoke of his reps, it sounds like negotiations for the actor to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still in-the-works. Also, when you take a look at the interview video below you can see Diesel's body language changes when he starts thinking about how to answer the question about possibly voicing Groot. A telling sign he might be intentionally misleading the media and fans in order to not show his hand since he might still be in negotiations, as implied with his reps comment.

The theory that Diesel could be voicing (and doing motion capture work for) Ultron still has to be said right now based not only on the fact there's been no solid confirmation about the actor voicing Groot and because Diesel has not been in England with the Guardians of the Galaxy cast filming motion capture work for Groot right now.

And there you have it.

If Diesel was really voicing and doing motion capture work for Groot, then why hasn't he been across the pond the last few months with the cast? Now that's gotta make you think about the fact Diesel might be voicing Ultron and doing the Avengers sequel villain's motion capture work as well. Especially with the implied comment that his reps are still working on a deal with the studio.

Yes... this is The Daily SuperHero's own conspiracy theory and it will continue until there is solid confirmation on Diesel being Groot. Stay tuned.
