The Wolverine villain Viper seen on set and will not be called Madame Hydra since Marvel still holds rights to that character and name

A few weeks before the August start date when The Wolverine starting shooting in Australia and Japan, 20th Century Fox announced they had cast another villain, Viper, to face-off against Wolverine.

Per one of The Daily SuperHero's sources, Fox obviously hold the rights to use the name and character of Viper on the big screen but they do not have the name rights to also call her Madame Hydra. That name is still held by Marvel Studios.

In case you don't know, in the comic universe, Viper is formerly known as Madame Hydra.

Sounds like Madame Hydra could eventually make her way onto the big screen if Marvel Studios decides to use her in one of their future movies. Makes sense seeing as how Marvel owns the rights to Hydra anyway.
