SUPERMAN Sequel MAN OF TOMORROW Applies For Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit

The SUPERMAN sequel MAN OF TOMORROW looks to be heading back to Ohio, specifically Cleveland and Cincinnati for film production later this year.

Both cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer report:

"'Superman' director James Gunn and star David Corenswet could be headed back to Cleveland for the sequel.

"The production team behind 'Man of Tomorrow' has applied for the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit, cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer has learned.

"The project, listed under the working title 'Exodus,' appears in the Ohio Department of Development’s latest database of applicants for the incentive, which allows film, television and theater projects to write off 30% of eligible in-state production costs...

"...It should be noted that the application’s status is listed as “submitted,” and no shooting locations are mentioned. Approval also doesn’t necessarily guarantee a commitment to film in Ohio. Production — wherever it might be — is scheduled to start later this year."

SUPERMAN spent several weeks in Cleveland for filming in summer 2024, then moved down south to Cincinnati for a shorter filming timeline.
