Ryan Reynolds Finally Admits He Leaked the DEADPOOL Test Footage in 2014

After years and years of speculating who leaked the DEADPOOL test footage right after San Diego Comic-Con 2014 ended, we finally have an answer. And after years of playing coy about it, it was in fact Ryan Reynolds who leaked the footage.

Entertainment Weekly writes:

"Ryan Reynolds is coming clean about getting his hands dirty.

"The Free Guy star finally admitted that he leaked Deadpool test footage in 2014, which he has said led to the film receiving a green light from 20th Century Fox. 'Yes, I cheated a little, but I think I was onto something that people would be interested in,' Reynolds said in a conversation with moderator Anita Lee at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday. 'And I'm grateful that I listened to that instinct, and I'm grateful that I did the wrong thing in that moment.'[...]

"...'Some a--hole leaks it online and I'm like, you know, looking at the guy in the mirror brushing my teeth,' he said, finally taking credit for the leak for the first time. 'And I'm like, 'Dude, what have you done? This could be punishable by law!' But the internet forced the studio to say, 'We're gonna make this movie,' and 24 hours later, that movie had a green light.'"

The mystery is finally over, yet at the same time, we all kind of knew it was him who did it all along.
