THE BATMAN PART II Will Start Principle Photography in Spring 2026


Today, Warner Bros. Discovery held their earnings call with investors and it was confirmed (via EW) that writer and director Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN PART II (working title) will start filming in spring 2026. 

EW reports:

"...The Batman Part II is finally coming together. After writer-director Matt Reeves confirmed that he handed in the finished script for it, which he wrote with collaborator Mattson Tomlin, Zaslav announced that the long-awaited sequel will start shooting next spring.

"Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as the Dark Knight from the 2022 movie, though his part remains separate from the Batman character who will appear in the DCU franchise, which includes Superman.

"The Batman Part II is currently set for release on Oct. 1, 2027, following multiple delays."
