Netflix's Marvel Streaming License Expires at the End of February; All Rights to Revert Back to Disney and Marvel
Marvel on Netflix will be no more on March 1, 2022.
This has been confirmed by Deadline that Netflix's license for their Marvel shows are leaving the streamer as all rights to these properties are reverting back to Disney and Marvel. This is why Marvel Studios was already able to use characters such as Kingpin in their HAWKEYE series, and Daredevil in SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME.
"Sources confirm to Deadline that Netflix’s license for Marvel’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher, Iron Fist and The Defenders team-up limited series is ending and the rights to the shows is reverting to Disney. The company is keeping mum about its distribution plans for the suite of series; they are expected to be announced the shows’ new streaming home soon."Due to the violent, and sometimes bloody, nature of some of these shows it is assumed they will all land on Hulu instead of Disney+.
