Hayden Christensen to Reprise Role as Anakin Skywalker in AHSOKA Series

The Hayden Christensen Star Wars redemption story continues.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader actor will now reprise his role in the upcoming Disney+ series featuring Ahsoka Tano. However, it is unknown how Christensen will reprise his role.

"It is unclear how Skywalker, or for that matter, Vader, will figure into Ahsoka, which, like Mandalorian, is set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and therefore after Vader’s death."

The answer seems obvious, due to the timeline of the AHSOKA series, he will return as a Force ghost in the series. In this speculative scenario, Anakin Skywalker was already redeemed after dying during the events of STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI. So he could, in theory, be helping Ahsoka from the beyond, just as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda have helped others during the Star Wars saga films.

And don't forget Christensen is also appearing in the Disney+ series OBI-WAN KENOBI, starring Ewan McGregor, but for this timeline is is most definitely donning the black armor of Darth Vader.

No word yet on when AHSOKA goes into production, but with this casting news it seems writer and executive producer Dave Filoni is very close to getting camera rolling here soon.
