BLACK WIDOW Opens Big on Thursday Night With Pandemic Era Best $13.5 Million

Box Office Report:
Marvel Studios' BLACK WIDOW may not be the best film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it is benefitting from being shelved for over a year due to the pandemic. Marvel fans have been waiting and waiting and waiting for the next entry into the MCU and they proved that desire by filling theater seats across the US for its opening Thursday night.

BLACK WIDOW opened with an estimated $13.5 million easily besting the pandemic era preview night bests from F9 ($7.1M) and A QUIET PLACE 2 ($4.8M).

Now, estimates are closing in on a domestic opening weekend close to $100 million which would easily be the biggest opening weekend since COVID-19 took a hold of the planet at shut down countries across the globe.

All it took to get the theaters back on track is an Avenger. How fitting.

Tune back in on Monday when the official weekend numbers are reported.
