Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige Lands Writer For His STAR WARS Movie

Over a month ago, Disney unveiled their massive plans for the future of Star Wars and it mostly resides on their streaming service Disney+. Two movies were also confirmed during Disney's shareholders announcement last month including an untitled film from director Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK) as well as another film from director Patty Jenkins (WONDER WOMAN films) with STAR WARS: ROGUE SQUADRON

Left out of the announcements was Marvel Studios CCO and president Kevin Feige's Star Wars movie.

Until now.

According to Deadline, Feige has found his screenwriter of choice with his LOKI series writer and showrunner, as well as DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS scribe Michael Waldron. Deadline reports:

"After penning Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and serving as head writer and exec producer on the upcoming Disney Plus series Loki, Michael Waldron is looking to stay in business with Walt Disney Studios in a big way. Sources tell Deadline Waldron has been set to write a new Star Wars feature film that Kevin Feige, President, Marvel Studios and Chief Creative Officer, Marvel, will develop and produce for Lucasfilm and Disney. This just one part of the recent deal Waldron signed with the studios that will keep him in business with Disney for some time."

No further information has been provided about Feige's Star Wars movie, but with progress being made in landing a writer it is only a matter of time until some info begins to trickle out.
