It seems like the online rumors might come true about how the sequel to SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is going full Spider-verse. First, it was actor Jamie Foxx returning as Electro, and now we have actor Alfred Molina returning as Dr. Octopus, reprising his role from Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN 2, per The Hollywood Reporter.
This is all happening since the Multiverse has made its way to the big screen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
THR writes:
"Molina's involvement ties together three generations of Spider-Man movies. Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro after playing the role in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which starred Andrew Garfield as the wallcrawler, while Molina's Doc Oc terrorized Maguire's version of Spidey. In October, Foxx suggested in a since-deleted Instagram post that three different Spider-Men could appear in the film."You read that right... all three Spider-Mans (Tom Holland, Toby Maguire, and Andrew Garfield) are all rumored to be showing up in the film together, too.
The still untitled third film in the MCU Spider-Man franchise will release on December 17, 2021.
