According to Vanity Fair, who spoke with THE FLASH director Andy Muschietti, Affleck will reprise his role one more time and come out of retirement from the role. He will join fellow former Batman, Michael Keaton, in returning to the role that will see multiple versions of Batman as seen in the DC multiverse through THE FLASH movie.
“He’s a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie. The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before,” Muschietti told Vanity Fair's Anthony Breznican "It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that’s one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That’s where the Affleck Batman kicks in.”Sounds like it might be smaller, supporting appearance by Affleck.
