Members of the Guardians of the Galaxy to Appear in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER

Originally, the plan was for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 to release before THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER. But plans got pushed back when writer and director James Gunn was fired from GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 last summer. He has since been re-hired, but the movie had to be pushed back to after THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER due to Gunn's own schedule.

At the end of AVENGERS: ENDGAME, it is implied that adventures would take place for the God of Thunder and the Guardians. Now, actor Vin Diesel (Groot) has confirmed to ComicBook.com that some Guardians members will appear in Thor's next film.

"I am waiting and excited for my friend James Gunn to knock this next [Guardians movie] out of the park," Diesel said during an interview in promotion of his upcoming Bloodshot movie. "He took The Suicide Squad so he's about to embark on [the Guardians movie]. Thor will also, the director talked to me about [how] Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy." As Diesel himself points out, this is the first time such news has been confirmed. "That'll be very interesting, nobody knows, maybe I shouldn't have said anything."

There is still no release date set for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3

THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER begins filming this summer and releases on November 5, 2021.
