Wrap Party: Favorite Moments in 2019 Superhero Movies

With 2019 rapidly coming to a close it is time to look back at the year. Welcome to the DailySuperHero.com's annual wrap party!

Here's the favorite moments in 2019 superhero movies, in no particular order:

J. Jonah Jameson Returns

Spider-Man fans everywhere have longed for Marvel Studios and Sony to bring back actor J.K. Simmons as the loudmouth editor of The Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson. They listened and he returned at the end of SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, although in a more boisterous Alex Jones-like version of the character. Let's please keep this going Sony and Marvel.

Captain America IS Worthy!

There was that moment during the party scene in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON where Steve Rogers moved Thor's hammer Mjolnir just a tiny bit. Well, in AVENGERS: ENDGAME, Captain America is full blown worthy during the final battle against Thanos. Totally worth the wait.

Joker Dancing Down the Stairs

The music. The dance. The stairs. When all put together it is an iconic moment when Arthur Fleck fully embraces the villain he has become, in JOKER.

90s Nostalgia in Captain Marvel

From that Nine Inch Nails shirt to the TERMINATOR references to the pager technology of the time, nostalgia is fun and CAPTAIN MARVEL provided plenty of that fun.
---

De-Aging Technology

Marvel Studios and ILM are at the top of the game when it comes to the use of de-aging tech on actors Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg in CAPTAIN MARVEL.
---

Zachary Levi Having Fun as SHAZAM!

The joy seen in Levi in this performance is really a standout in the film.
---

Thorbowski

Nobody expected this and Chris Hemsworth killed it.

Honorable Mention: The Child

The Disney+ Star Wars series THE MANDALORIAN is not a superhero movie but I really don't care and needed to show some love to The Child because he is everything. The future of the Star Wars franchise now rests solely on his adorable little shoulders.
