Marvel Television Is No More

This seemed to be inevitable once Kevin Feige took on the role of Chief Creative Officer a few months back.

Deadline is reporting the television division at Marvel is no more as everything TV-related (as well as animation) will not run through Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb anymore and it will go under the direction of Marvel CCO and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. Loeb is set to leave his position once Marvel Studios' absorption of Marvel TV is complete.

Everything that was being developed is now dead. Anything currently in production for a new season, will continue, however, it remains to be seen how much longer any shows under the former banner of Marvel TV will continue.

Unfortunately, there is some bad news as many at Marvel TV will not be keeping their jobs. From production assistants all the way to TV executives, nobody is safe and may get a pink slip with Deadline reporting that some folks will be re-assigned.

Marvel TV gave fans lots of content over the past several years, although not everything was great. Some shows like DAREDEVIL stood out, while others like INHUMANS was an absolute disaster.

It's the end of the Marvel TV Era, but the beginning of something new that could perform much better under the watch of Marvel Studios and Feige.
