Marvel Studios' MOON KNIGHT series was officially announced at Disney's D23 Expo this past summer and there hasn't been much about it since. Until now.
Writer Jeremy Slater took to Twitter to confirm not only that he is the head writer but he has a room of writers now working on developing the new series.
I was seven when I bought my first Marvel comic, and my life was changed on the spot. It’s no exaggeration to say that joining the MCU is the single greatest honor of my career. I’m thrilled and terrified and deliriously happy.— Jeremy Slater (@jerslater) November 9, 2019
And while I won’t be able tell you anything in regards to story or casting, I *can* tell that you we’ve assembled a room full of brilliant writers who truly love this character, and we’re all hard at work crafting something special for you.— Jeremy Slater (@jerslater) November 9, 2019
So stick around and stay tuned. Moon Knight is on the way, and it’s going to be one hell of a ride.— Jeremy Slater (@jerslater) November 9, 2019
It will be interesting to see what kind of ride MOON KNIGHT will entail seeing as how, in the comics, he's either infused with the power of a moon God, or he might just be mentally unstable.
An official release for MOON KNIGHT has yet to be announced, but here's a look at how it lays out in the Disney+ side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4 plans.
