Writer and director Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN is starting to round out its Rogue's Gallery of villains. So far only actor Jonah Hill is reportedly sought after for the role of either the Penguin or the Riddler. But now, Catwoman has joined the fray.
According to Deadline, actress Zoë Kravitz has been cast as Selina Kyle / Catwoman and will be opposite of actor Robert Pattinson's version of the Caped Crusader. There is some irony in this casting as Kravitz was the voice actress for Catwoman in THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE.
Actor Jeffrey Wright has already been cast as Commissioner Gordon, but this is all the main casting that has taken place, so far. Obviously, Reeves is in full casting mode right now and more names/roles will be announced sooner than later.
THE BATMAN releases on June 25, 2021.
