JOKER Breaks October Opening Weekend Record; Nearly $250 Million Worldwide

JOKER has officially broke the domestic opening weekend record for October besting last year's record holder VENOM. JOKER took in $96 million beating the crap out of the $80 million VENOM nabbed just about a year ago.

Internationally, the movie took in $152 million bringing its worldwide tally to $248 million.

This has been done on a very small budget of reportedly $55 million making this a profit monster for the studio and everyone involved.

There is no word on if there would be any possibility of a sequel, but actor Joaquin Phoenix told The Playlist he is down to reprise the role for a sequel. And this has to be music to executive's ear at Warner Bros.
