ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The biggest surprise during the Disney+ presentation was not the big surprise Disney and Lucasfilm had hoped for as news leaked out early last week that actor Ewan McGregor was in talks to return as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi for the streaming platform.
At the end of the Disney+ presentation McGregor was bought onto the stage where he asked Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy if he will ever playy Kenobi again. If was officially confirmed he will as well as the actor confirming he has been lying to the media for about four years about returning to the Star Wars galaxy.
Finally, Kennedy confirmed the scripts are all completed and filming for the series will being in early 2020.
