SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME First Spidey Movie to Surpass $1 Billion Worldwide

Shockingly enough, it has not been done. A Spider-Man movie has not yet reached the $1 billion worldwide milestone at the box office.

Until today.

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME will officially be the first Spidey movie to hit this mark by the time the sun sets.

The franchise has been resurrected from Sony's failed attempt to reboot it with THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN movies. Afterward, Sony partnered with Marvel Studios for an unprecedented deal between Disney and any other studio not owned by them to bring Spider-Man into Marvel Studios' Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Actor Tom Holland has played the role now in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, AVENGERS: ENDGAME, and SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2019 last weekend, Marvel Studios announced their Phase 4 slate of films and Disney+ streaming series. Missing was another adventure for Spider-Man. Now, that he's joined the $1 billion worldwide club, Marvel Studios will be adding another Spidey movie to their release schedule much sooner now.
